Each and every room was painted with a white latex flat for the ceiling. a semi-gloss for the crown molding and egg shell finish (a type of paint not a color) for the walls. Oil low luster for the windows doors and trim.

When using egg shell finish which has more of a sheen you must be very careful not to cause flashing which is different shinny spots that may cause it to look uneven.

Even though it is not visible from these pictures these walls were old plaster walls that have been refreshed and brought back to life

As with dark color you have to have a steady hand and perfect line from the ceiling to the wall as it will show any imperfections.

We used blue tape to cover the edges of doors and trim to give it a perfect even line

Though not apparent to all, the line at the ceiling looks straight but may not be.  When painting the ceiling to wall you must be able to picture the corner an apply it giving it the illusion that its straight even if it is not.
